Infosys To Pay Record $34M To Settle Visa Violation Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (October 29, 2013, 9:16 PM EDT) -- Infosys will pay $34 million to settle claims that it has illegally brought skilled Indian workers into the U.S. on short-term business visitor visas for full-time work since 2008, sources told Law360 on Tuesday.

U.S. attorneys will unveil a False Claims Act complaint in a Wednesday press conference in Texas following a two-year investigation into the information technology and consulting firm's alleged visa and employment practices, a source said.
