Fla. Hospital Calls Patient Record Destruction 'Accidental'

Law360, Miami (October 29, 2013, 5:41 PM EDT) -- Halifax Hospital Medical Center, which is facing a False Claims Act suit accusing it of paying kickbacks for referrals, on Monday fought a bid by federal prosecutors to sanction the hospital over destroyed records, saying the documents were accidentally destroyed in a routine purge.
