Senate Confirms Wheeler As FCC Chair Over Objection

Law360, Los Angeles (October 29, 2013, 9:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed former telecommunications lobbyist Tom Wheeler as chair of the Federal Communications Commission late Tuesday, after overcoming a hold on the vote by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, over elements of a defeated piece of campaign-spending legislation.
