Italy's Gas Station Rules Spur EU Court Action

Law360, New York (February 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Commission said Thursday that it would bring Italy before the EU's highest court for putting allegedly illegal restrictions on the establishment of fuel service stations.

According to the commission, Italy has violated an article of the EC Treaty that provides for freedom of establishment within the European Union.
