Sequenom Patent For Prenatal DNA Test Invalidated

Law360, New York (October 31, 2013, 4:38 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday struck down a patent covering a prenatal DNA test licensed to Sequenom Inc., relying on a slew of decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court holding that naturally occurring phenomena are not patentable, giving a win to accused infringer Ariosa Diagnostics Inc.
