Gov't Workers Union Leader Gets House Arrest For Theft

Law360, New York (November 1, 2013, 7:09 PM EDT) -- A former leader of a government hospital workers union local was sentenced Friday to house arrest for stealing union members’ dues.

Federck C. Petro, the former president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 2094, was ordered to serve six months house arrest followed by three years probation.

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels imposed the sentence at a hearing in Manhattan federal court.
