Utility Asks FERC To Consider Power Corridor

Law360, New York (February 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California utility has approached the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission about approving a proposal to construct an electric transmission line from an Arizona nuclear plant into California, even though Arizona regulators have rejected the proposal.

FERC announced that representatives of Southern California Edison met with FERC staff Monday about a request to begin the pre-filing process for its proposed Devers-Palo Verde No. 2 (DPV2) project, which would be a 500-kilovolt line stretching 230 miles.
