Pregnancy Test Maker Awarded $14M In Patent Case

Law360, New York (February 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Finding all of Church & Dwight Co.'s asserted pregnancy test patents valid, a federal jury awarded the company damages of $14.6 million in a patent battle with Abbott Laboratories Inc.

The company, which produces goods such as Trojan condoms and Arm & Hammer baking soda, on Thursday announced the favorable verdict it won Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
