LG Chem To Pay $1.2M To Settle FCA Suit Over Stimulus Funds

Law360, New York (November 5, 2013, 6:55 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors in Michigan on Tuesday said a unit of South Korean chemical giant LG Chem Ltd. has agreed to pay $1.2 million over allegations the company defrauded the government by paying employees for recreational activities using funds procured under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
