Microsoft's Patent Chief To Head Up Shook's Seattle Office

Law360, Los Angeles (November 6, 2013, 6:25 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp.'s chief patent counsel is jumping to Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP to oversee the opening of the law firm's Seattle office, Shook said Wednesday.

Bart Eppenauer will serve as managing partner of the Seattle location, which is set to open Dec. 1, according to the firm. It's a homecoming of sorts for Eppenauer, who for three years worked at Shook as an associate before leaving in 1997 to join Microsoft's legal team, the firm said.
