Google Offers To Link To Rivals In Proposed EU Antitrust Deal

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 6:25 PM EST) -- Google Inc. has offered to include links to rival vertical search sites in its shopping, travel and other specialized search results in order to resolve a European Commission antitrust probe, according to the proposed commitments released Wednesday by Consumer Watchdog.

The European Commission began market-testing what it described as much-improved commitments to address concerns that Google was abusing its dominance over Internet search in late October, but it did not publicly release Google's proposal or its queries to stakeholders.
