Futures Regulator To Probe Jet Fuel Market: Report

Law360, New York (March 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission is reportedly beginning an investigation into jet fuel prices, with an eye on a certain part of the trading day that has figured in recent price-manipulation case.

The agency requested information from several oil traders and brokers on the Gulf and East coasts, Reuters reported Friday, citing anonymous sources.

The trades being looked into took place in May 2007 and December 2006, and the CFTC has asked that the information be provided by early next week, sources told the news...
