Madoff Employee Gave Fake Docs, Accountant Says

Law360, New York (November 12, 2013, 7:08 PM EST) -- Former Madoff Operations Director Daniel Bonventre provided documents that helped hide Madoff’s true earnings from auditors, a former accountant testified Tuesday at the criminal fraud trial of Bonventre and several other ex-employees of Ponzi schemer Bernard L. Madoff.

Bonventre furnished documents, such as phony balance sheets, that made Madoff look like he was losing money even in years where he earned millions of dollars, accountant David G.
