Wyeth Wins Dimissal Of Weight-Loss Drug Suit

Law360, New York (March 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal court has dismissed a product liability suit brought against Wyeth over the weight-loss drug Redux after finding that warning labels provided by the pharmaceutical company were adequate.

Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted summary judgment to Wyeth on Friday, dismissing claims of design defect, negligence and wrongful death brought by plaintiff Ramona Longs, executor of the estate of Mary Buchanan.
