High Court Accepts Chesley's Resignation From Bar

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 2:10 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday accepted the resignation from its bar of famed class action attorney Stanley Chesley, who was disbarred in Kentucky earlier this year for his role in the alleged looting of a $200 million settlement fund for victims of the diet drug fen-phen.

A hearing to decide if the Cincinnati attorney should be permanently barred from practice before the high court was also dropped by the court on Monday.
