3 Pharmacists Suspended For Painkiller Distribution Ring

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 2:56 PM EST) -- Three New Jersey pharmacists have been suspended for allegedly participating in an illegal prescription drug distribution ring involving a Plainfield pharmacy, the New Jersey attorney general’s office announced Monday.

The Division of Consumer Affairs’ State Board of Pharmacy has suspended the licenses of 87-year-old Daniel Podell, of Clark; 61-year-old Howard Hirsh, of Cranbury; and 59-year-old Lawrence Zaslow of Cherry Hill, following their Oct. 23 arrests.

All three men are suspended indefinitely, pending the resolution of criminal charges and further action by the Board of Pharmacy....
