Ex-Landmark Partner Says Jury Shorted Him With $1M Award

Law360, Los Angeles (November 18, 2013, 6:56 PM EST) -- A former Landmark Partners Inc. senior partner told the Second Circuit on Friday that a lower court's misinterpretation of his employment contract with the private equity firm forced a jury to award him only $1.1 million in his breach of contract suit.

Gary P. Stevens contended that a Connecticut federal judge wrongly interpreted the contract as allowing the partner to receive a 10 percent stake only in Landmark's annual profits, not in the company's growth in value as well.
