FTC Duels With Microsoft, Google Over Security Measures

Law360, New York (November 19, 2013, 6:13 PM EST) -- Two Federal Trade Commissioners pushed companies Tuesday to build robust privacy and security protections into the growing ecosystem of Internet-connected devices, but officials from Microsoft Corp. and Google Inc. countered that consumers should play a greater role in determining reasonable data collection and use parameters.
