3 Takata Execs Cop To Seatbelt Price-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (November 21, 2013, 2:53 PM EST) -- Three Takata Corp. executives have agreed to plead guilty to participating in a plot to fix the price of seatbelts sold to Toyota Motor Corp., Honda Motor Corp. and others, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.

The antitrust enforcer charged Yasuhiko Ueno, Saburo Imamiya and Yoshinobu Fujino with one count each of conspiracy to rig bids and fix prices for seatbelts used in cars sold in the U.S., according to the DOJ.

All three have agreed to cooperate with the agency and serve prison terms...
