Rock Supplier Wants Back $3M Award Against Southwestern

Law360, Houston (November 27, 2013, 8:14 PM EST) -- Texas’ highest court was asked Tuesday to reinstate a contractor’s $3 million verdict against Southwestern Energy Co. over a soured deal to supply crushed rock to develop a natural gas well, saying a lower appeals court gave undue credit to witnesses for the energy company.

KT Rock LLC argued in its petition that Texas' 14th District Court of Appeals improperly tossed its award after considering witness testimony and evidence the jury had found lacked credibility.
