Former HMA Exec Charged With Obstructing Investigation

Law360, New York (November 27, 2013, 6:57 PM EST) -- A former division president with Health Management Associates Inc. has been charged in Florida federal court with destroying, altering or falsifying records to interfere with a federal investigation into the hospital chain, according to an indictment unsealed Tuesday.

Joshua S. Putter made his initial appearance and arraignment in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Tuesday and pled not guilty to the obstruction charge and was released on $250,000 bond, according to court records.
