ACA Online Enrollment Delayed 1 Year For Small Biz

Law360, New York (November 27, 2013, 3:27 PM EST) -- The Obama administration on Wednesday delayed online enrollment by one year for small businesses using the Affordable Care Act's federal marketplace, a casualty of prioritizing repairs to the website's functions for individuals.

Officials had repeatedly pushed back acceptance of online applications in the Small Business Health Options Program, or SHOP, since the Oct. 1 debut of HealthCare.gov, and Wednesday's announcement was a concession that resources could not be diverted to get the service running in the short term.
