Former GE Execs Freed From Prison After Convictions Nixed
Law360, New York (November 27, 2013, 5:50 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday ordered three former General Electric Co. finance executives to be released from prison one day after the Second Circuit reversed their convictions in an alleged municipal bond bid-rigging scheme involving kickbacks to brokers.
The order freeing Steven Goldberg, Peter Grimm and Dominick Carollo comes after the Second Circuit overturned the defendants' convictions in a one-page order Tuesday. The appeals court said an opinion explaining its decision would "follow in due course."
