Christine Fox To Become Acting Deputy Defense Secretary

Law360, New York (December 3, 2013, 3:36 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has appointed Christine Fox as an interim replacement for Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter after he departs Wednesday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced in a statement Tuesday.

Fox, who until recently served as the department's director of cost assessment and program evaluation, will begin Thursday as Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense.
