Equipment Co. Davis-Standard Sues Ex-VP Over Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (December 5, 2013, 7:27 PM EST) -- Davis-Standard LLC sued an ex-vice president and a rival liquid coating equipment maker, SAM North America LLC, in Connecticut federal court Tuesday, saying the former executive had breached a noncompete agreement and violated trade secrets by joining SAM last month.

Donald Teich, former vice president for liquid coatings at industrial equipment manufacturer Davis-Standard, violated a January 2012 employment agreement when he joined competitor SAM on Nov. 25, Tuesday’s suit claims.
