Delphi Recieves Extension In Reorganization Filing

Law360, New York (January 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has granted management for bankrupt auto parts manufacturer Delphi Inc. a six-month extension to develop a reorganization plan for the company.

Delphi, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October 2005, originally had a February deadline to present the plan to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Court-issued extensions for reorganization plans are not uncommon in bankruptcy proceedings.
