Ex-San Diego Mayor Sentenced To Home Confinement

Law360, New York (December 9, 2013, 10:59 PM EST) -- A San Diego court on Monday reportedly sentenced Bob Filner to three months of home confinement and three years of probation for sexually harassing women during his brief stint as the city’s mayor.

Although Filner had faced up to three years in prison for one felony count of false imprisonment and one year in jail for each of two misdemeanor counts of battery, prosecutors recommended the reduced sentence as part of an earlier plea deal they entered with Filner, and Superior Court Judge Robert Trentacosta handed...
