Cab Co. Can Intervene In Tampa Limo Fare Challenge

Law360, Miami (December 10, 2013, 5:25 PM EST) -- A Florida judge allowed on Tuesday a taxi company and a shuttle operator to intervene in a suit brought by a Tampa limousine operator that's challenging a local $50 minimum fare rule set by the Hillsborough County Public Transportation Commission.

Judge Charles Bergmann allowed Red Top Cab Co. and West Coast Transportation Services Inc. to intervene in the suit brought by Thomas Halsnik, who owns Black Pearl Limousine LLC and claims that the minimum fare rule restricts competition and violates his due process rights.
