Atty For SAC’s Steinberg Brands Key Witness A Liar

Law360, New York (December 10, 2013, 8:36 PM EST) -- A lawyer for SAC Capital Advisors LP portfolio manager Michael Steinberg on Tuesday accused a key government witness in the insider trading case of lying to save himself from prison, wrapping up a lengthy cross-examination.

Former SAC analyst Jon Horvath falsely implicated Steinberg, his former boss, lawyer Barry Berke of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP said in the close of a cross-examination in Manhattan federal court.
