Texas Appellate Judges Face Challengers For 2014

Law360, Dallas (December 10, 2013, 8:43 PM EST) -- Six incumbent judges on Texas’s intermediate appeals courts face primary or general election challengers, including four contests for chief justice positions in the districts, according to candidate filings Monday.

A dozen incumbent appellate judges up for re-election face no declared challengers, and Republican Judge Bill Whitehill drew no opponents for an open seat on the Fifth Court of Appeals, according to party records and the secretary of state.
