EIB Loans France €120M For New Electric Trains

Law360, New York (December 12, 2013, 3:19 PM EST) -- The European Investment Bank will pump €120 million ($165 million) of financing into France’s regional express transportation system, allowing the eastern region of Alsace to revitalize its portion of the system and purchase 24 electric trains, according to a Thursday statement.

Helping France fund the improvements to its regional express transport, known as TER, is part of the EIB’s efforts to focus on projects that are environmentally conscious, promote employment and and improve quality of life, according to a statement.
