Chinese Refrigerant Gas Imports May Harm US Cos., ITC Says

Law360, New York (December 13, 2013, 3:36 PM EST) -- U.S. producers may be materially injured by imports of a refrigerant gas compound from China that have allegedly been sold at unfairly low prices, according to a preliminary finding Friday by the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The commission's affirmative vote in the matter, raised by Louisiana-based Mexichem Fluor Inc., means the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue its investigations on Chinese imports of 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane, also known as R-134a, the ITC said in a statement Friday.
