No Rehearing Of Malpractice Suit Over BP Blast Settlement

Law360, New York (December 13, 2013, 7:52 PM EST) -- The Texas Supreme Court refused on Friday to reconsider its decision rejecting the claims of a worker injured in an oil refinery explosion that his attorney — who later defended a BP PLC unit in litigation over the blast — committed malpractice by negotiating an inadequate settlement.

The state high court denied the plaintiff's motion for a rehearing, leaving in place its decision in favor of attorney Ronald D. Krist.
