Fla. High Court Rejects Changes To Medical Expert Rules

Law360, Miami (December 13, 2013, 8:37 PM EST) -- The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday declined to approve a procedural rule related to a 2011 law limiting out-of-state expert witnesses in medical malpractice cases and hinted at questions about the statute's constitutionality.

The state's highest court declined to follow a Florida Bar committee's recommendation to adopt the provision as a rule of procedure to the extent that it concerns court procedure.
