Law360, New York (March 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Greka Oil & Gas Co. has been hit with its third U.S. Environmental Protection Agency enforcement order in just the past two months, with the agency telling the California oil company it must either immediately clean up a polluted California site or face fines of $32,500 per violation per day.
The EPA announced Friday that it had ordered Greka to comply with its cleanup obligations under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.
