Guest Workers Sue Oil Firm Over Residency Promises

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of 500 foreign welders and pipe fitters recruited by Signal International LLC to help with reconstruction efforts in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita are hauling the oil-rig repair and construction company to court, claiming they were falsely promised permanent resident status.
