Novelis Drops $205M To Expand Aluminum Production

Law360, New York (December 18, 2013, 1:54 PM EST) -- Novelis Inc., the world’s largest provider of aluminum for the automotive industry, will sink $205 million into the expansion of its manufacturing operations in New York and Germany in an effort to meet growing demand while developing a closed-loop business model, the company said Wednesday.

The investment will be used to build two new finishing lines, each with a capacity of 120,000 metric tons of aluminum sheets per year, in Novelis plants in Oswego, N.Y., and Gottingen, Germany, according to a statement. The lines are scheduled...
