US Recouped $3.8B From False Claims Settlements In 2013

Law360, Los Angeles (December 20, 2013, 6:04 PM EST) -- The federal government eked out $3.8 billion in settlements this year from civil cases brought by citizens alleging fraud against the government, a 24 percent drop in its recovery from a year earlier, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement Friday.
