Texas AG Snubs Windstorm Insurer's Assessment Question

Law360, Houston (January 2, 2014, 3:59 PM EST) -- Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott declined Monday to say whether the state’s cash-strapped coastal windstorm insurance pool is obligated to charge fees to member insurance companies to avoid insolvency but suggested the insurer could unload debt on policyholders.
