UPMC Audit Challenge Imperils Bias Safeguards, DC Circ. Told

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 8:59 PM EST) -- An appeal from UPMC-affiliated hospitals that said they weren't government subcontractors and refused to comply with a U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs audit should be nixed, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and others said Monday, claiming the hospitals' legal challenge threatens workplace bias protections.
