Nev. High Court To Decide Fate Of Nude Dancing Tax

Law360, New York (January 3, 2014, 6:12 PM EST) -- The Nevada Supreme Court will kick off its January session by reviewing the state’s live entertainment tax and determining whether it violates the First Amendment rights of several Las Vegas strip clubs.

Oral arguments are scheduled Wednesday before the high court, with the application of the state’s 10 percent excise tax on strip clubs having wide-reaching implications for all similar business in the state.
