ITC Launches New Dumping Probe Of Chinese Solar Products

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 2:04 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday announced the launch of investigations into imported solar products made in China and Taiwan that were allegedly being sold in the United States for below fair value, after foreign manufacturers were accused of exploiting a loophole in previous tariff orders.

The ITC instituted its anti-dumping and countervailing duty probe into whether an American industry was materially injured by purportedly undervalued foreign solar cells and modules based on a Dec. 31 petition from SolarWorld Industries America Inc. The Oregon-based company...
