Baltimore Mayor Unveils Program For Tax Credit Errors

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 6:15 PM EST) -- Baltimore residents who received unexpectedly high property tax bills after the city discovered that the state had issued some taxpayers excessive historic building tax credits may be entitled to compensation under a relief program unveiled Monday by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

Rawlings-Blake said she intends to introduce a supplemental budget appropriation to account for the added costs associated with a recompense program to the Baltimore City Council in the coming week.
