Apple Can't Shake Suit Over Voice Command Patent

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 7:01 PM EST) -- A California federal judge refused Monday to dismiss Potter Voice Technologies LLC's suit against Apple Inc., saying Potter properly stated a claim for willful and induced infringement by Apple's Siri products of its voice command patent.

Apple had asked the court to dismiss Potter's suit, claiming that it did not adequately show the iPhone creator had knowledge of its own infringement of U.S. Patent Number 5,729,659.
