De Beers Diamond Antitrust Suit Nixed Again

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 6:19 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Monday dismissed the final antitrust claim a bankrupt diamond cutter had brought against a unit of the De Beers Group over its diamond wholesale policies.

U.S. District Judge Kimba M. Wood ruled that the bankruptcy trustee for W.B. David, a New York-based diamond cutter and reseller, hadn't brought a claim on which relief could be granted under the antitrust laws.
