FTC Wins Bid To Shut Down Alleged Text Scammers

Law360, New York (January 7, 2014, 12:16 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Monday shut down a company accused by the Federal Trade Commission of operating a massive mobile "cramming" scheme in which it enrolled consumers in unwanted monthly subscriptions for text messages offering gossip, trivia and "love tips."
