ITunes At Core Of Latest Patent Suit Against Apple

Law360, New York (March 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A private technology company is facing off against Apple over iTunes and its related consumer products like the iPod, firing off a complaint Wednesday that accuses the computer giant of infringing two of its patents.

ZapMedia Services, Inc. filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Apple has willfully infringed on two patents ZapMedia Services holds on an invention related to digital media distribution systems.
