HMA Paid Kickbacks For Doctor Referrals, FCA Suit Says

Law360, New York (January 8, 2014, 6:23 PM EST) -- Health Management Associates Inc. and some of its facilities paid illegal kickbacks to referring physicians and submitted false claims to federal and state health programs in the process, according to a suit unsealed in Pennsylvania federal court Tuesday.
