Obama Taps Former Cabinet Secretary For DOL Post

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 6:25 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would nominate Christopher P. Lu — a Harvard Law School graduate and White House cabinet secretary — to take over as deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor and replace Seth Harris, who will move on to a position at Cornell University later this month.

Lu's selection drew plaudits from civil rights group Asian Americans Advancing Justice, or AAJC, who said that Lu would be the first Asian American to occupy a number 2 spot at a cabinet-level...
