Oracle Manager Fired After Protesting Unequal Pay, Suit Says

Law360, Los Angeles (January 10, 2014, 4:05 PM EST) -- A former Oracle Corp. sales manager said he was fired for protesting the company’s demand that he pay an Indian employee far less than what he paid white workers in the same position, according to a suit filed Tuesday in California federal court.

Ian Spandow, a former senior regional sales manager in database sales, claimed he was fired in retaliation for refusing to go along with the company’s “discriminatory employment practice of paying Indian workers a salary substantially below those of similarly situated Caucasian employees,” according...
